The Smith Center, a $470 million dollar LEED-certified masterpiece and Las Vegas’ first performing arts center, is home to the Las Vegas Philharmonic, the Nevada Ballet Theatre, and host to traveling national and international events in music, dance, theater and education. In expanding our experience with David M. Schwarz Architects, Two Twelve collaborated closely with the architects and the Center to develop a comprehensive interior and exterior wayfinding signage and donor recognition program that integrates with the architectural context, but remains visible and functional for the users of the space. David M. Schwarz Architects nod to the Hoover Dam in their design for this new structure helps reinforce Las Vegas’ distinctive style and history. In turn, our wayfinding signage "kit-of-parts'' integrated The Smith Center’s complex palette of materials and unique conditions in our own designs to provide an effective visual thread of communication while responding to the richly detailed environment.
